According to a study conducted by the Regional Development Agency of the Centru Region in 2020, SMEs and Public Service Organizations from the Centru Region are not aware of the benefits brought to them by digitalisation. Test Before Invest services are meant to raise awareness and provide, or ensure access to, digital transformation expertise, know-how and services, including testing and experimentation facilities for FIT EDIH’s beneficiaries. FIT EDIH provides testing and experimentation facilities where FIT EDIH beneficiaries can see the most relevant technologies for them demonstrated, before they will be used in real-life operations of their organisations.

For EDIH Beneficiaries from the Advanced Digital Transformation membership level, FIT EDIH will organize periodic workshops for each of the 3 core tracks in order to empower both SMEs and PSOs to co-create an ADT #1 - Roadmap and to develop a strategy to transition from a traditional to a data-based organization. Beneficiaries will learn which technologies can help increase the efficiency of their organization, how to prioritise them, what steps are needed to integrate them into their businesses and advance their level of digitalization.
In order to see in real life the relevant technologies for each domain, be it Manufacturing or SmartCity or E-Health, FIT EDIH beneficiaries will be able to come to FIT testing and experimentation facilities or attend online demo sessions, focused on showcasing technologies with a strong hardware component or complex implementation, or simulations based on non-beneficiary data.
